Walking the Rose Path in Ireland

Bandia na Bealtaine

Bealtaine 2ú, 2026, Teacht Aniar, Chilll Channaigh

This will be very special day of devotional prayer, singing, ritual procession, hawthorn medicine and sacred wild art making at Teacht Aniar, Kilkenny with Siobhán de Paor (Wild Irish) Annie Hynes (Sound your Soul) and Shannon Smith (Women of the Water).

This is a gathering for Deirfúireacha an Róis; the sisters who feel called to the Rose path and who resonate with the Madgalene Christ lineage and the Sophianic Wisdom tradition.

This is a day to build and strengthen a spiritual community, to honor the Mother and to restore and re-imagine an ancestral tradition.

In the first half of the day we prepare by learning a sung version of the Choróin Mhuire, composed by Annie Hynes of Sound Your Soul, one of Ireland's best devotional singers.

Then under the creative direction of Siobhán de Paor, we will forage and create our own Bandia na Bealtaine.

Hawthorn tea will be taken throughout the day and lunch will be a light snack of nettles.

The second part of the day is rosary, procession and ritual.

10am to 6pm. Opening Circle at 11am in the new yurt. This will be the first event our new yurt so we will consecrate the space while we are at it.

Potluck feast at 4ish. Bring some food to share.

Comhludar an Charghais

This is an online community of prayer for Lent to support our physical cleansing. Over the 40 days, we will weave the Choróin Mhuire, the rosary, with our native plant medicine and water purification rites. On the seventh Sunday there is the option to gather in person for a Gnostic mass and pilgrimage in Kilkenny.

Each week, we will voice our intentions and will lay the spiritual groundwork to include our native spring allies in the week's diet: This ancestral mantra will be the path that will lead us in a plant medicine meditation journey with cleavers; of venus and the inner waters, dandelion of warriorship and joy and nettle of blood and boundaries. We will undertake to take a decoction or infusion of these with whatever individual cleanses we are doing this spring.

The Choróin Mhuire: Reclaiming this ancient mantra to the cosmic mother, we will cycle twice through Joyful, Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries utillising this a a path of resolution in our process of purification.

This Lenten collective is part of a reclamation of the Marian lineage in Ireland to its pre-Catholic roots. We understand it as a land based tradition concerned with the preservation of the country's sacred water and memory. More details to follow on the Gnostic Mass.

Cost for the Lenten prayer collective is on a sliding scale €111 to €77

Cost for Pilgrimage and Gnostic Mass Gathering on Easter Saturday 4th April, (11am to 6pm) is €44

All calls will be recorded and sent out to the list usually within 24 hours

Bríd agus na mBeithígh

She was suckled by a white cow with red ears herself, she worked miracles with their milk and it is under her auspices that the majoriy of the country's dairy calves will be born.

Happening over three mornings, 7am to 8am; A guided meditation and collective prayer for the resolution of our country's dairy cows, who are separated from their calves at birth.

On Feb 1st morning, we will place the physical brat Bríd over the cows in ritual. You can join one or all three of these meditations.

Cumann an Róis

A nine day novena in Advent 2025 leis an Choróin Mhuire, leading up to a Gnostic Ritual at dawn on the Winter Solstice.

A contemporary meditation on the Joyful; Sorrowful and Glorious Mysteries as they relate to the octaves our own soul's development.

Caoineadh an Teanga

In person

In losing the language, we were severed from our story; from the ancestral bosom that held us, from the very land beneath our feet. As she went from Sí to It in a language that colonized our very conciousness.

The trauma of the famine is inextricably linked with language revival and in resurrecting our tongue, we are equally resurrecting that trauma. We are tending to that fact this Samhain.

This Samhain we will curate a day to address this severance. Irish language excercise; ritual in the hazel wood and keening circle in the botháin. Dress warm.

Slí an Róis

Online and In person

This will be a journey of discovery into the mystery of the Rose path in Ireland.

Every second week, Siobhán will share a transmission relating to the 'rose path' including; Celtic Christian origins; the Marian Movement in Ireland; Taibhse ag an Tobar; apparitions at the well, the Natural Sacraments and Threshold Rites; Hawthorn and other wild Irish roses and reclaiming the Choróin Mhuire; the marian mantra and the prayers of our grandmothers.

Gathering in person at Teacht Aniar, Cill Channaigh ar Lá le Magdalén July 12th. With a simplified rose diet on July 11th in preparation.

Birth Rites

In person gathering in which we will reclaim our ancient birth rites; the blessings of the nine waves and the five circles of protection.
